The ADR Fellowship is ideal for software professionals keen to contribute towards the social sector. The fellowship gives the software professionals a chance to contribute towards strengthening democracy and governance in India by using their IT skills. It also provides ample opportunities to participate in various electoral and political campaigns including optional field trips.
This fellowship also includes an honorarium.
A large part of ADR’s work involves distributed data entry and data analysis of various information about the elected representatives – MPs, MLAs, etc. We need to capture information about several uncovered processes in elections and other political processes in the tool and make the dissemination of information on our elected representatives easier. For this we use a web based tool that has been created using PHP with a MySQL back end. We need an expert who can help us in augmenting the new requirements in the tool.
Location: New Delhi (partly)
Duration: 12 months (The first 3 months have mandatorily to be spent in New Delhi office. During the remaining period at least one week every month has to be spent in New Delhi office)
Skillset:
1. Ability to come up to speed quickly
2. A minimum experience of 2-3 years of programming in web technologies – particularly PHP, MySQL, etc.
3. Good communication skills
