ADR and National Election Watch Network plans initiatives on electoral reforms (28-01-2009)

In a build up for the 5th National Conference on Electoral and Political Reforms, ADR(Association for Democratic Reforms) and National Election Watch(NEW) held a press conference in Mumbai to give details on: 1. Details about the National Conference to be held at Nehru Center, Worli, Mumbai on Jan 31st and Feb

1. Attendees include all Election Commissioners, Election Watch teams from all the states of India, several eminent people(a more details list in the attached press note).

2. Details about resolutions being planned to be passed at the conference - No Criminals, None of the Above and A bill to regulate functioning of political parties

3. Full list comprehensive list of Candidates and MLAs/MPs with criminal cases in all the election watches conducted by ADR and NEW partners.
