Within days of taking up power in Delhi, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come face-to-face with a survey that has found there is a wide gap between voters’ expectations and the government deliveries in the national capital.

The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), which carried out the survey in collaboration with Daksh, has written to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urging him to take cognisance of the findings and “prepare a blueprint at the earliest so that the most pressing governance issues as reported by Delhi voters may be resolved soon”.

The survey, conducted between December 2013 and February 2014, prior to the Lok Sabha elections, asked voters to rate 30 most important issues in their particular region in terms of their capacity, governance and specific roles in improving the living conditions of the voters.
