As many as 95 candidates who will be contesting the Assembly elections on Congress, BJP and Janata Dal (Secular) ticket had criminal cases filed against them, a preliminary assessment by the Association for Democratic Reforms has revealed. This is as per the affidavits filed by them during the 2013 elections. The three parties have announced 498 candidates so far.
