1) What are the methods can I use to donate to ADR online?

Ans: One can donate online through Internet Banking (Indian Banks only), National Debit Card/Credit Card.

2) Can I donate through cheques/demand drafts, if Yes - how?

Ans: One can send us a Cheque or DD in favour of "Association for Democratic Reforms" along with the Donation Form to the following address:

3) Are my donations eligible for tax deductions?

Ans: All donations except cash are eligible for tax deductions under section 80G(5) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 vide letter No. DIT(E) /80G(5)/1099/06-07 dated 11/04/2007, Valid till 31/03/2010(As amended by Finance Act 2009- existing approvals expiring on or after 01/10/2009 will deemed to have been extended in perpetuity unless specifically withdrawn).

4) Who can donate to ADR?

Ans: Donor should be an Indian citizen either living in India or abroad (NRIs with Valid Indian passport).

5) How do I know that my donation has been accepted?

Ans: Incase of online donation, the receipts are sent at the registered email id, after every successful transaction. However, for Cheque / DD / cash, the receipts are sent by post or hand delivery as the case may be.

7) What payment gateway do you use?

Ans: For Domestic transactions, we have HDFC as the payment gateway.

8) What security measures do you have in place?

Ans: We offer the highest level of security available - 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.

9) Do you store my credit/debit card information?

Ans: No. The ADR servers do not store any credit/debit card related information with them.

10) I had a failed transaction - what does it mean? Who do I get in touch with?

11) I had a failed transaction but money has been taken from my card/bank account. What do I need to do?

12) I have no transaction number or email but money has been taken from the account.

Ans: Mail us at [email protected] with details such as amount, name of donor, email id, date of transaction and mode of payment.

14) What if I don’t want to give my passport details?

Ans: For NRI’s, passport number is a mandatory field to validate the citizenship.

15) I made a donation. I need a receipt for tax filing purposes.
