Coming to the legal instances, out of 40 successful candidates analyzed in 2022, 16 successful candidates (40 per cent) have declared legal instances towards themselves. In 2017, 9 (23 per cent) MLAs had declared legal instances.

A complete of 13 (33 per cent) successful candidates have declared severe legal instances towards themselves. In 2017, six (15 per cent) MLAs had declared severe legal instances towards them.

The successful candidates in instances associated to crimes towards girls embody two politicians, considered one of whom has declared instances associated to rape (IPC Section-376).
