In the analysis of UP Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reform (ADR), it has come to the fore that 65 women have been lucky in the sixth phase. This number is less than in the fifth phase.
According to the ADR report, out of 676 candidates contesting in the sixth phase, the affidavits of 670 candidates were analyzed and the affidavits of six candidates are not clear. Therefore, his affidavit has not been analysed. UP Election Watch’s principal convener Sanjay Singh said that out of 670 candidates, 182 i.e. 27 percent have reported criminal cases against them to the Election Commission. At the same time, serious criminal cases are registered against 151 candidates. In this phase, out of 48 candidates of the Samajwadi Party, 40 cases are registered against them. About 83 percent of the SP candidates have cases registered against them. On the other hand, BJP is behind in this matter and 44 percent of its candidates have cases registered against them.
39% candidates of Congress and BSP tainted
Along with this, 22 out of 56 candidates of Congress and 22 out of 57 of BSP are tainted. 39 per cent candidates of both the parties are tainted. With this, 14 percent of AAP’s candidates are tainted. According to the information, the sensitive constituency is also the highest in the sixth phase and this time 65 percent of the constituencies are where three or more tainted candidates are in the fray.
Most cases registered against BSP candidate
It has been told in the report that the maximum number of cases are registered against BSP candidate Sudhir Singh. There are 26 cases registered against Sudhir Singh, who is contesting from Gorakhpur’s Sahjanwa seat, under 27 serious sections. At the same time, 19 cases are registered against Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party’s candidate Ashok Chauhan from Khadda seat of Kushinagar and 22 serious sections against Chandrashekhar, Azad Samaj Party’s candidate from Gorakhpur assembly constituency.
Women harassment cases filed against eight candidates
According to the information, crime cases related to women are registered against eight candidates. In this, a case of rape has been registered against two candidates. A case of murder has been registered against eight and attempt to murder against 23 candidates.
SP candidate is richest
Samajwadi Party’s candidate Vinay Shankar Tiwari has the most assets in the sixth phase of elections. According to the information, out of 670, 253 candidates are crorepatis. In this 45 out of 48 SP candidates, 42 out of 52 BJP candidates, 44 out of 57 BSP candidates, 26 out of 56 Congress candidates and 14 out of 51 candidates for AAP are crorepatis. In this case, the name of SP candidate Vinay Shankar from Chillupar seat of Gorakhpur is at the fore and he has assets worth Rs 67 crore.
