During the financial year 2020-21, eight national parties of the country earned a total income of Rs 1,373.783 crore. The BJP alone has a share of about 55 percent in this. This claim has been made in a new report of the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) on Friday. The parties whose income accounts have come to the fore include BJP, Congress, BSP, NCP, CPI, CPM, Trinamool Congress, and NPP. All these parties have got the status of National Party from the Election Commission.

Which party earns how much?
The Bharatiya Janata Party earned a total income of Rs 752.337 crore in the last financial year. Which is 54.764 percent of the income of all the national parties of the country. He spent 82.46 percent of his total income i.e. Rs 620.398 crore.
Congress came second in terms of income. Its total income in the last financial year was Rs 285.765. Which is 20.801% of the total income of all the national parties of the country. Congress spent 73.137 percent of its income i.e. Rs 209 crore.
CPM was at number three in terms of income. His total income was 171.046 crores. The party spent a total of Rs 101.806 crore.

TMC spent disproportionately
The total income of Mamata Banerjee's party TMC in the last financial year was Rs 74.417 crore. The party spent a total of Rs 132.537 crore during this period. That is, the expenditure of TMC was more than 178 percent as compared to the income. At the same time, BSP got a total of 52.467 crores. Whereas, he spent only Rs 17.297 crore. That is, the BSP spent only 32.96 percent of the income.

The income of all parties decreased compared to last year

According to the ADR, according to the details given by the national parties to the Election Commission, the income of the BJP has decreased by 79.24 percent as compared to the previous year. The total income of the BJP in 2019-20 was Rs 3,623.28 crore, which came down to just 752.337 crores this time. Similarly, the income of Congress has also decreased by 58.11 percent. The party's income was Rs 682.21 crore in 2019-20, which came down to Rs 285.765 crore in the last financial year.

The income of the other six national parties has decreased in the last financial year as compared to 2019-20. TMC's income decreased by 48.20 percent, NCP's 59.19 percent, BSPs by 9.94 percent, CPIs by 67.65 percent, and NPPs by 62.91 percent.
