The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has written to the Goa CEO and urged him to take note of the discrepancies in the affidavits submitted Mayem candidate Pravin Zantye and Priol candidate Pandurang ‘Deepak’ Dhavalikar.

ADR said that incomplete information should lead to rejection of the nomination papers. Candidates are required to submit IT returns of the last five financial years but Zantye submitted data for just 2020-21. Dhavlikar has shown no increase in the value of his immovable assets.

“The returning officer should remind the candidate to fill the blanks,” Goa state coordinator for ADR Bhasker Assoldekar said.
