According to the Association for Democratic Reforms-ADR report, the national parties have received donations of Rs.15,077.97 crore from undisclosed individuals and organizations from 2004 to 2021. However, in the financial year 2020-21 alone, national and regional parties have received donations of Rs.690.67 crore from unknown persons. In this report, ADR revealed the details of eight national parties like BJP, Congress and TMC and 27 regional parties.

ADR has prepared this report on the basis of donations and income tax returns submitted by the parties to the Election Commission from 2004-05 to 2020-21. It has been clarified that the national parties have received donations of Rs.15,077.97 crores from individuals and organizations who have not disclosed any details. “In the financial year 2020-21, 8 national parties received Rs. 426.74 crores from unknown persons. 27 regional parties received Rs. 263.928 crores as donations,” said ADR.

Congress in the first place..
ADR said that in 2020-21, the Congress party received Rs. 178.782 crores from undisclosed individuals and organizations, which is 41.89 percent of the total amount received by national parties. This is the highest. On the other hand.. BJP received Rs. 100.502 crores. It is said that 23.55 percent of the total received from those who do not have details. On the other hand, the report said that the top five parties that received the largest amount of donations from unspecified sources were YSR Congress Rs.96.2507 crores, DMK Rs.80.02 crores, BJD Rs.67 crores, MNS Rs.5.773 crores and AAP Rs.5.4 crores.
