Uttarakhand Chief Minister TS Rawat is ranked 24th among the 25 CMs who are crorepatis, based on the analysis done of the declared assets of chief ministers of 29 states and 2 union territories.
TS Rawat with declared assets of 1.15 crore is richer than Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, according to the analysis done by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).
The report found out that as many 81 per cent chief ministers are crorepatis and possess both movable and immovable assets. Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s declared movable assets total around Rs 37.83 lakh and immovable property is valued at Rs 78 lakh.
The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch (NEW) released their latest report which says, “Out of the all 31 Chief Ministers analysed from state Assemblies and union territories, 11 (35 per cent) Chief Ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves.”
However chief minister TS Rawat does not figure in the list of Chief ministers against whom criminal cases are pending.
The study was based on the self-sworn affidavits of current chief ministers filed by them prior to contesting elections.
