90% members of Bihar Legislative Council are millionaires.

Although the economic condition of the common man in Bihar is not so good as compared to other states, 90 percent members of the state legislative council are millionaires. In fact, a report published by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), an organization working on electoral reforms, revealed that 90 percent of the members of the Bihar Legislative Council are millionaires. At the same time, 63 percent of the members have criminal cases against them. The Legislative Council is considered to be the upper house. The issues that have come out in the ADR report are very shocking. According to the report, 63% of the members of the Bihar Legislative Council have criminal cases registered against them, of which 33% have serious criminal cases.

Apart from this, 90% members of this house are millionaires. All 24 members elected from local authorities come into this group. ADR Bihar chief Rajeev Kumar released this report on Monday. It surveyed 60 members of the 75-member Legislative Council. Based on this report, it is stated in the affidavit given as a candidate.

Most of the criminal cases have been filed against BJP members

This report is prepared on the basis of the affidavits submitted by the candidates during the elections. According to the report, out of 60 members, 38 are accused in criminal cases. Out of these 38, 20 are named in the list of serious offences. 9 members have been accused of attempted murder and 2 members are being investigated for murder. There are allegations of violence against women. According to the report, maximum number of criminal cases have been registered against BJP members. Of the 16 BJP members surveyed, 11 have criminal cases against them.

At the same time, criminal cases were registered against 10 out of 14 members of RJD and 8 out of 18 members of Janata Dal United. Besides, three out of four members of Congress and two members of CPI are also accused. In serious crimes, 55 members of BJP and RJD and 7 members of JDU are accused.

Independent member Satchidananda Rai owns assets of Rs 1108 crore

Satchidananda Rai is the richest individual member of the 75-member Legislative Council. His movable and immovable assets amount to 1108 crores. BJP’s Rajeev Kumar and Ashok Agarwal are second and third. Explain that the average wealth of 75 members is Rs.33.87 crores.
