Nakul Nath is the wealthiest candidate: According to a recent report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), Nakul Nath, son of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath from Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh), is the wealthiest candidate contesting in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Nakul Nath has declared assets worth 716 crores, which is the highest among all candidates in the first phase. Nakul Nath succeeded his father in 2019 and has since maintained a strong presence in the constituency.
