Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani is by far the richest candidate contesting in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
His 7,710 crore assets from 19.2 per cent of the total of Rs 40,252 crore of assets declared by 8163 candidates contesting in these elections, according to the latest data released by the Association for Democratic Reforms.
Nandan Nilekani has investments valued at Rs 6,068 Crore. He and his wife Rohini have 1.83 Cr worth of jewellery.
The cars they drive are worth Rs 79 Lakh. Nilekani and his wife have properties valued at around Rs 61 crores. The total value of Nilekani is Rs 7710,29,57,219.
