"Mera Vote Mera Desh" voter awareness campaign for youths was organized by Odisha Election Watch in collaboration with ADR at Bichhalal Ramachandra Gupta College, Bhojpur, in Sambalpur district on 12th March 2024. The event saw 90 participants.

The campaign aimed to amplify youth involvement in the general election. This initiative strived to counteract the undue influence of crime and monetary factors in elections. The campaign specifically targeted young individuals and first-time voters, with the overarching goal of enriching their participation in the electoral proceedings.

The primary goal of the initiative was to enlighten young voters about their pivotal role and responsibilities in elections, crucial for fostering active citizenship and upholding democratic principles. Mr. Brajendra Kishor Panda, Government Pleader, served as the resource person, elucidating the program's objectives. Mr. Panda underscored the significant impact young voters can wield in shaping the trajectory of their communities and nations through their engagement in the electoral process.

The program stressed the importance of exercising the right to vote and aimed to educate young voters about how their choices influence policies, governance, and societal advancement. It emphasized the imperative for them to stay well-informed about candidates, issues, and the electoral procedures, empowering them to make informed decisions.
