According to poll affidavits examined by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), 29 of the 30 current Chief Ministers are crorepatis, with Andhra Pradesh’s Jagan Mohan Reddy having the greatest assets totaling 510 crores.

According to the ADR, Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has the lowest total assets—roughly 15 lakh rupees.

All 30 of the present chief ministers of states and union territories’ self-sworn poll affidavits were examined by the ADR and Election Watch (NEW), which claimed to have reached this determination.

In addition to the 28 state chief ministers, there are chief ministers in Delhi and Puducherry, two union territories.

Jammu and Kashmir’s Union Territory is without a chief minister. The average wealth asset for each of the 30 chief ministers examined was 33.96 crore, and 29 (97%) of them are crorepatis, according to the ADR.

Out of the 30 chief ministers, 13 (43%) have declared significant criminal cases, including those involving murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, and criminal intimidation.

The report says, serious crimes carry sentences of more than five years in prison and are not subject to bail.

According to the ADR, the top three chief ministers in terms of wealth are Naveen Pattnaik of Odisha (over 63 crores), Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh, and Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh (over 510 crores).

According to the ADR, West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee (over 15 lakhs), Kerala’s Pinarayi Vijayan (over 1 crore), and Haryana’s Manohar Lal (over 1 crore) are the three chief ministers with the lowest disclosed assets.

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, and Arvind Kejriwal, the mayor of Delhi, both reportedly have assets worth more than Rs 3 crore.
