In the aftermath of the Rajasthan Assembly elections held on November 25, the state witnessed a political recalibration with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) returning to power after five years, securing 115 seats, while the Congress managed 69 seats.

However, the parliamentary landscape showcased a gender disparity, with only 20 women out of 48 contesting candidates being elected as legislators, reflecting the need for increased representation of women in political spheres.

The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) meticulously analyzed 199 out of 200 election expenditure statements submitted by newly elected MLAs after the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023. The election expenditure limit for MLAs during this election was set at Rs. 40 lakhs.
