Election Watch

Since the landmark judgment of the Supreme Court in 2003, ADR along with the National Election Watch, has conducted Election Watches for the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha Elections, Rajya Sabha Elections and almost all State Assembly Elections post 2003 in the country.

Under the Election Watch of Parliament and State Assembly elections, ADR discloses the criminal, financial and educational background of candidates who are contesting the elections with the objective of providing basic information on the background of candidates to the voters. Along with this disclosure, ADR also analyzes the election expenditure declared by the candidates.
