A report by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) reveals that 28 ministers in Narendra Modi's third government have criminal cases against them. Among them, 19 face serious charges such as attempted murder, crimes against women, and hate speech. Key ministers named include Shantanu Thakur and Sukanta Majumdar.

A recent report from the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) indicates that 28 ministers in Narendra Modi's third administration are entangled in criminal cases. Notably, 19 are dealing with severe allegations ranging from attempted murder to crimes against women and hate speech.

Prominent among the accused are Shantanu Thakur, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State for Education and Development of North Eastern Region, both facing attempted murder charges under IPC section 307.

The ADR report also reveals that five ministers have cases related to crimes against women. These include Bandi Sanjay Kumar (MoS for Home), Thakur, Majumdar, Suresh Gopi (MoS for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Tourism), and Jual Oram (Tribal Affairs Minister). Additionally, eight ministers are reported to have cases related to hate speech.
