Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is planned for May 7. The third phase will have 94 constituencies covering twelve states. According to the data by the NGO ADR (Association for Democratic Reforms), Crorepati make up 392 (or 29%) of the 1352 candidates running in the phase 3 election. The average asset per candidate in the Lok Sabha Phase III election is Rs. 5.66 crore.

Richest candidates in phase 3 election

Pallavi Shrinivas Dempo, the BJP candidate from Goa South, is among the top three candidates in the Lok Sabha Elections Phase III with the most disclosed assets, totaling more over Rs 1361 crore. The second candidate, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, will run from Madhya Pradesh's Guna Lok Sabha constituency and has total assets of Rs 424 crore. Chhatrapati Shahu Shahaji, who will represent the INC in Maharashtra's Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency, has a net worth of Rs 342 crore.

Jyotiraditya Scindia second richest candidate

According to data from the Association of Democratic Reforms, the BJP candidate from Madhya Pradesh, Guna Jyotiraditya Scindia, is the second richest candidate standing in Lok Sabha elections Phase three, with assets worth over Rs 424 crore. His moveable assets are Rs 62,57,63,478, while his immovable assets total Rs 3,62,17,30,600.

In MP's Guna district, the key contenders are Bharatiya Janata Party's Jyotiraditya Scindia and Congress' Rao Yadvendra Singh. The state has 29 Lok Sabha seats. Before joining the BJP, Scindia served as Minister of State for Power and Corporate Affairs from 2012 to 2014. He formerly served as a Union Minister for the Congress party until joining the BJP in 2020. Scindia has a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
