Lok Sabha Elections 2024: A total of 1717 candidates are contesting in the General Elections 2024 across 96 parliamentary constituencies. The voting is set to take place on May 13 and the results will be declared on June 4.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The campaigning for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will end today. The voting for 96 seats across 10 states/union territories will take place on May 13 (Monday). These states are – Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. The Election Commission will declare the results of the Lok Sabha Election 2024 on June 4 (Tuesday).

Lok Sabha Elections Phase IV: Share of Wealth Among Candidates

According to the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), 205 candidates out of 1710 have wealth more than Rs 5 crore and above while 133 candidates have wealth between Rs 2 crore and Rs 5 crore. 310 candidates i.e. 18 per cent candidates have wealth between Rs 50 lakh to Rs 2 crore.

According to ADR, 476 candidates (28 per cent) out of 1710 are crorepatis.

In the fourth phase, 3 (100 per cent) out of 3 candidates from Shiv Sena, 4 (100 per cent) out of 4 candidates from BJD, 4 (100 per cent) out of 4 candidates from RJD, 4 (100 per cent) out of 4 candidates from Shivsena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), 17 (100 per cent) out of 17 candidates from TDP, 17 (100 per cent) out of 17 candidates from BRS, 24 (96 per cent) out of 25 candidates from YSRCP, 65 (93 per cent) out of 70 candidates from BJP, 56 (92 per cent) out of 61 candidates from INC, 7 (88 per cent) out of 8 candidates from AITC, 2 (67 per cent) out of 3 candidates from AIMIM and 11 (58 per cent) candidates out of 19 candidates from SP have declared their total assets worth more than Rs 1 crore, reports ADR.

In Phase IV of Lok Sabha Election 2024, the top 10 crorepati candidates are Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Prabhakar Reddy Vemireddy, Amrita Roy, CM Ramesh, Dr Gaddam Ranjith Reddy, Sribharat Mathukumili, Kasani Gyaneshwar Kasani, Madhavi Latha Kompella, and Shatrughan Prasad Sinha, reports ADR.

Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani:

Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani of TDP is contesting the election from Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur parliamentary constituency. He has total assets of more than Rs 5705 crore.

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy:

Konda Vishweshwar Reddy of BJP is contesting from Telangana’s Chevella seat. Reddy has total assets of over Rs 4568 crore.

Prabhakar Reddy Vemireddy:

Prabhakar Reddy Vemireddy of TDP is contesting from Nellore Lok Sabha seat of Andhra Pradesh. He has total assets of more than Rs 716 crore.

Amrita Roy:

Amrita Roy of BJP is contesting from West Bengal’s Krishnanagar seat. She is also known as Rajmata of Krishnanagar. Roy has total assets of more than Rs 554 crore.

CM Ramesh:

CM Ramesh of BJP is contesting the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalle seat. Ramesh has total assets of more than Rs 497 crore.

Dr Gaddam Ranjith Reddy:

Dr Gaddam Ranjith Reddy of Congress is contesting from Telangana’s Chevella seat. He has total assets of over Rs 435 crore.

Sribharat Mathukumili:

TDP’s Sribharat Mathukumili is contesting from Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam parliamentary constituency. Mathukumili has total assets of over Rs 298 crore.

Kasani Gyaneshwar Kasani:

Kasani Gyaneshwar Kasani of BRS has total assets of more than Rs 227 crore. Kasani is contesting election from Telangana’s Chevella seat.

Madhavi Latha Kompella:

BJP’s Madhavi Latha Kompella has total assets of more than Rs 221 crore. Madhavi is contesting from Telangana’s Hyderabad seat.

Shatrughan Prasad Sinha:

Trinamool Congress’ Shatrughan Prasad Sinha is contesting from West Bengal’s Asansol. He has total assets of more than Rs 210 crore.
