At the Press Club of Bengaluru on 16th April 2026, key voices from civil society came together to raise concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The press conference was organised by CIVIC -Bangalore and the Forum for Democracy & Communal Amity-Karnataka Chapter.

Ms Kathyayini Chamaraj (Executive Trustee of CIVIC Bangalore and ADR's Karnataka State Coordinator) addressed the media alongside Prof Trilochan Sastry (Chairman, Founder Member & Trustee of ADR), and Mr M. F. Pasha (General Secretary, Forum for Democracy and Communal Amity – Karnataka).

The speakers highlighted serious issues such as voter deletions, lack of transparency, and the shifting burden of proof onto citizens.
