An analysis of election expenditures during the 2025 Delhi assembly elections shows that Congress allocated more funds to social media and propaganda than BJP but fell short in spending on candidates. Despite this approach, Congress could not secure a single seat in the polls. Data from the Association for Democratic Reforms reveals BJP's total election expenditure reached Rs 57.65 crore, surpassing Congress's Rs 46.19 crore. The BJP dominated the election, winning 48 seats, while Congress failed to clinch any. The contrasting outcome highlights the impact of fiscal strategies in political campaigns. AAP, the only other party with significant wins, managed 22 seats, spending just Rs 14.5 crore in total. The funding race saw BJP collecting Rs 88.7 crore, Congress Rs 64.3 crore, and AAP Rs 16.1 crore, marking a nine per cent rise in total funds compared to the 2020 elections.
